Silky, Dry, Pure.
Muscadet has really been forgotten - especially *good* Muscadet. This French classis is a tremendous partner for seafood - mussels, prawns, crab - as it supports really well the sweetness of those meats. Jérémie Huchet's is dry yes, but really nicely textured and this is easy to appreciate on the palate. It's not really rich so much as focused in its refreshing mineral character. It's a wow wine, without all the fireworks, an understated gem.
Try also the excellent sparkling Bretesche. Another extraordinary gem - but this time it's got bubbles!
