Succulent, oaked Chardonnay
Barrel-fermented and aged, Hartenberg's Chardonnay is as much about finesse as it is about the oak: neither dominates, although both are clear. Grown in Stellenbosch, but not picked so very mature - retaining lipsmacking acidity and freshness of fruit while reining in the alcohol. Really outstanding value - and with a great life ahead of it. Last tasted May 2020.
